Publication Ethics

INSPIRA: (Elementary School Education Journal)  (e-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX ) is a peer-reviewed journal published by PT. INDO FIRA GLOBAL. 

 

This statement of publication code of ethics is a statement of all parties involved in the publication process in the General Education Environment and in Primary Education in particular, including managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. This statement of scientific publication code of ethics is based on  the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications . Scientific publication ethics uphold three ethical values ​​in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (ii) Justice, which is giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications

 

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed PERSEDA journal is a liaison tool in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society.

We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprints or other commercial revenue does not impact or influence editorial decisions. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Manager

  1. Determine the journal name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation application if necessary. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
  2. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties in a contract.
  3. Respecting confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers.
  4. Implementing norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  5. Conducting journal policy reviews and communicating them to authors/writers, editorial boards, peer reviewers, and readers.
  6. Create a guide to rules and ethical behavior for editors and peer reviewers.
  7. Publish journals regularly.
  8. Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
  9. Building a network of collaboration between research institutions and related agencies
  10. Preparing permits and other legal aspects.

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers, Striving to continuously improve the quality of publications,
  2. Implementing processes to ensure the quality of published written works,
  3. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively,
  4. Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record,
  5. Provide corrections, clarifications and apologies when necessary,
  6. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author,
  7. Actively soliciting opinions from authors, readers, peer reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications,
  8. Conduct periodic internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals
  9. Support authors' initiatives on publication ethics by including a clearance form in every manuscript submission.
  10. Be open-minded to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions for the advancement of science,
  11. Avoiding objective decisions by not defending one's own opinion, the author's or a third party's by seeking a solution that can be scientifically justified,
  12. Encourage authors to improve their written work until it is worthy of publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

  1. Reviewing written works and submitting the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the suitability of a written work for publication,
  2. The reviewer does not conduct a scientific review of the written work in which he/she is involved, either directly or indirectly,
  3. Providing suggestions, input and positive recommendations for scientific paper manuscripts, 
  4. Maintaining the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions and recommendations regarding a manuscript,
  5. Encourage writers to make improvements to their written work,
  6. Reviewing the revised written work according to the specified standards,
  7. Written works are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on established scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors meet the criteria as authors,
  2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
  3. Stating the origin of resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly.
  4. Explaining the limitations in the research.
  5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers and the editorial board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.
  6. Inform the editor in writing if you wish to withdraw your written work.
  7. Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, and has never been published anywhere and in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
  8. Each author guarantees that his/her research institution has fully approved the protocols for all scientific studies involving animals or humans and that all experiments of any kind were carried out in accordance with the ethical principles of research after approval by an ethics committee.
